At the 2008 I.R.H.A. Reining Futurity, from Thursday 13th to Saturday 15th November more than 20 stallion service will be offered among enrolled I.R.H.B.A. (International Reining Horses Breeders Association) stallions.
Thanks to those breeders who believed in this new project, all the reining enthusiasts who will compete on this first silent auction, have the chance to buy most popular stallion services offering a minimum of 50% of the breeding fee as starting bid.
Hereby the list of the stallion services entered on the program by October 31st.

Manerbio, Italy – October 25, 2008 – More than 500 horses, 300.000 $ payout, 15.000 spectators: those are the figures of the next Italian reining Futurity and Championship show. Riders coming from all over Europe, will compete to gain the higher added money among the European reining futurities.
From Sunday 09th to Saturday 15th November, all international spectators are welcome to visit the show and to secure yourself entrance tickets, our ticket office is at your disposal with all current ticket capacities.

 NRHA Breeders Futurity 2008: Austrian Rudi Kronsteiner wins Bit Open Final

What a superb final: the NRHA Breeders Futurity Bit Open was the last class of the 2008 Breeders Futurity. More than 4000 visitors watched 16 top finalists riding for the title and the purse. And Rudi Kronsteiner did it again: the Austrian trainer who was NRHA World Champion twice and World Reining Masters Champion, became NRHA Breeders Futurity Champion Bit Open astride Dun It On The QT.
The two had a splendid ride with unbelievable spins and stops scoring a 226.5. The 4-year-old stallion by Hollywood Dun It out of Tivios Little Queen, that was bred by Tim McQuay and is owned by Katja Jungfer, already became Reserve Champion at the Italian Derby with Rudi in the saddle (score 232.5).
Italian Christian Dalla Pozza and RS Ramses Olena became Reserve Champion scoring a 223 with a brilliant ride. The horse was bred by Claudio Risso. Grischa Ludwig (GER) and Lil Ruf Codypine placed third (220).

Sven Buerig becomes SBH Futurity Champion Non Pro

The winner of the NRHA Breeders Futurity SBH Non Pro Final was Sven Buerig (GER) astride his La Mia Einstein. After placing 6th in the go round, the two risked everything in the final and scored a 215 after a beautiful ride with fast spins and circles and great stops. The mare is by Great Resolve (‚Einstein’) out of Mia Lena Jac and was bred by Frederic Tremblay.
Two competitors tied for second place: Claudio Risso (ITA) astride his mare RS Linkwood Jac (by McJac Flash) and Piet Mesdagh (BEL) astride ND Smart Pleasedunit (by Chic Please) scoring a 214.5. Birgit Wenninger and her Twist Please (Chic Please x JP Geena Twist) placed fourth.

USA TOPS INDIVIDUALS AT 2008 FEI WORLD REINING CHAMPIONSHIP

Manerbio City, IT - September 14, 2008 – The top 20 individuals from the 2008 FEI World Reining Championships Team Competition went head-to-head today in Manerbio, Italy for FEI Gold, Silver and Bronze medals today. According to the unofficial results, the $30,000 clean-slate final included eleven horse and rider combinations marking in excess of 220 points.

Practical Course on Equine Insemination with Transported Cooled and Frozen Semen

This course is directed to veterinarians operating in equine re production and willing to improve their diagnostic and therapeutic skills concerning fertility with frozensemen. Current insemination techniques will be explained and put in practice on mares prepared for this purpose.To be able to perform the practical session on live animals a basic skill in palpation and sonography of the genital tract of the mare is requested.

Il corso è rivolto ai veterinari operanti nel settore della riproduzione equina. Scopo del corso è migliorare le capacità diagnostiche legate alla fertilità attraverso la conoscenza della fisiologia riproduttiva della fattrice e la corretta gestione del ciclo ovarico rispetto al tipo di fecondazione scelto.
Verranno inoltre analizzate e messe in pratica le tecniche correnti di fecondazione con seme congelato equino. Saranno disponibili presso il Centro sia le fattrici che lo strumentario per le esercitazioni. Una buona dimestichezza con la palpazione rettale e l’ecografia del tratto riproduttivo è comunque requisito indispensabile per eseguire la parte pratica su animali.

 NRHA EUROPEAN FUTURITY CONDITIONS AVAILABLE

Oklahoma City, OK – August 14, 2008 – Earlier this year, the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) announced the development of the very first NRHA European Futurity to be held in 2009. The international explosion in the number of approved shows and members set the stage for the addition of this historic event. Conditions for the futurity were approved last weekend by the NRHA Board of Directors. The conditions are available on www.nrha.com.
The NRHA European Futurity is “Open to the World,” and is scheduled to be held March 9-14, 2009, in Manerbio, Italy. The event showcases four-year-old reining horses and riders competing for close to half a million dollars in prize money. The show is NRHA-approved and run under NRHA rules.

The FEQHA event offers 4 AQHA shows (s/c) plus EC finals and a Nations Cup and is scheduled for August 16-24, 2008 at Kreuth (Germany) .

 Swiss Slide 2008 ends with new success of Europe’s Leading Money Earner: Rudi Kronsteiner and Star Spangled Whiz win Lawson Bronze Trophy

 Rudi Kronsteiner did it again: astride Star Spangled Whiz the Austrian who trains in Germany since 1997 won the $ 30, 000 NRHA Lawson Bronze Trophy during the Swiss Slide at Corinna Schumacher’s facility in Givrins, Switzerland.
Star Spangled Whiz was one of altogether three horses Kronsteiner rode into the final and was second best after the go round. In the final, the flashy stallion scored a 230 winning the class. Shauna Larcombe and RS Fondadores Olena placed second scoring a 229.5.
